DID JESUS REALLY RISE FROM THE DEAD?

Besides the 180 degrees change He made in my life, one of the best proofs I have about the resurrection of Jesus Christ lays within the 2008 years old question itself. “Did Jesus really rise from the dead?” Because I do not know of any other figure in the history of mankind capable of sustaining such question for 2008 years.

The compilation of ancient Hebrew and Greek manuscripts, known as The Bible, tells us that approximately 2008 years ago Jesus die on a cross and then rise on the third day. Do you know of any other event in history that has resisted with so much immunity the implacable test of time? Just think about it. There is a saying: “You can lie to all the people one time, or you can lie to one person all the time, but you cannot lie to all the people all the time”. I agree, therefore it results practically impossible for me to believe that a lie could be still around despite of all the knowledge and technological achievements accumulated by humanity during those long 2008 years.

“My kingdom is not of this world” said Jesus to his disciples. “Destroy this temple and I will rebuild it in three days” was Jesus challenge to the priests. Perhaps no one understood at that time that Jesus was simply referring to his ideals and immortality.

2008 years have passed, man went to the moon, computer technology and science have reached levels never dreamed of before. Nevertheless; because of the integrity of His teachings and the nature of the miracles He continues performing, the question still hangs today in the mind of millions of peoples as it did 2008 years ago: “Did Jesus really rise from the dead?” Thank God for that 2008 years old question, because it is definitely one of my best proofs of His resurrection.
