Today, February 23, 2010, at 42 years of age, Orlando Zapata Tamayo, a black Cuban, gave his life in Cuba after 85 days of hunger strike advocating for the defense of human rights, while the rest of the world kept itself indifferent to his situation and his noble cause of justice and equality for all. For those who did not want to listen, here I leave you this meaningful phrase from a black North American woman who also lived until the last day of her life defending human rights.

Hoy, 23 de Febrero de 2010, a la edad de 42 años, Orlando Zapata Tamayo, un negro cubano, dio su vida en Cuba después de 85 días de huelga de hambre abogando por la defensa de los derechos humanos, mientras que el resto del mundo se mantuvo indiferente a su situación y a su causa de justicia e igualdad para todos. Para esos que no quisieron escuchar, aquí les dejo esta significativa frase de una negra norteamericana que también vivió hasta el último día de su vida defendiendo los derechos humanos.
